State Leadership Conference
National
Leadership Conference
The National Leadership Conference (NLC)
concludes the year's activities and sets
the stage for the upcoming school year.
The NLC is held each summer in a major
American city. FBLA and PBL members and
advisers participate in business-related
and leadership development workshops,
tour business and corporate facilities,
elect national officers, and participate
in national competitive events. The
Professional Division holds its annual
business meeting during the PBL National
Leadership Conference. The NLC Guide, the
official information and registration
form for the conference, is mailed to
local chapters in early spring.
Institute
for Leaders
The Institute for Leaders is the
organizational and leadership training
session for state and local chapter
officers, members, and advisers. Held in
conjunction with the National Leadership
Conference, this training conference
prepares student leaders and members to
assume their elected responsibilities and
develop valuable life skills.
National
Fall Leadership Conferences
Students and advisers participate in
motivational general sessions and
professional development and career
planning workshops. The NFLC Guide
contains general information and
registration forms and is mailed in late
summer to local chapters.
For many
FBLA-PBL members, the NFLCs are a
convenient and affordable way to
experience much of the education and
excitement of an NLC. Mark your calendars
for the 2001 NFLCs, and check back for
more information as the dates approach.
Future
Conferences
It's never too soon to start making plans
to attend an upcoming conference. Check
